Baseline study and Detailed Project Report/feasibility for Integrated Community development Project (ICDP)

Project Background: well-prepared Detailed Project Report (DPR) is crucial for the successful implementation of any developmental intervention. In order  to ensure a thorough project preparation, L&T has entrusted AFPRO with the task of preparing the DPR. The primary focus of this assignment is to collect  baseline data, analyze it, and plan project measures based on the needs of the community at the village level. The present project proposal has been developed through the collaborative efforts of AFPRO and the local community, following the guidelines set during the DPR preparation process. To initiate the  DPR preparation process, focused group discussions were conducted in the proposed project villages. These discussions involved corner meetings, meetings  with key informants, GP members, school teachers, and Anganwadi Sevika’s, among others. The aim was to get a comprehensive understanding of the basic  issues and development needs of the proposed area. For the collection of secondary data, cadastral maps and land records were obtained from the Talathi and revenue department. The survey numbers and farmers’ details were derived from these records. Additionally, the list of families was collected from Anganwadi  Sevika (ICDS) and Gram Sevaks for the baseline survey. The major activities involved in the DPR preparation included the baseline survey ( HH survey), Focussed Group Discussion, Participatory Net Planning, Drainage line survey, Well inventory vulnerability assessment, Hydro-Geological survey etc. It  was crucial to involve local individuals in these surveys, particularly in net planning and DLT surveys. AFPRO deployed a multidisciplinary team and field investigators for this task, ensuring the active participation and engagement of all households, farmers, and local youth.
