PROJECT BACKGROUND
The Cocoa life programme is aimed to address the common problems faced by cocoa community as well as to ensure their welfare through productivity enhancement by supporting them to initiate new farming techniques, good quality materials and pest and disease control mechanisms. Programme also gives emphasis on meeting the social and financial needs of the community through education, gender equality, and livelihood enhancement. Through Cocoa Life community development programme that’s being implemented in Kerela is giving priority to the above-mentioned activities. Presently, as per the need of the community, it is planned to support the schools by providing 18 units of Drinking water purifiers comprising of UV and ozonator unit with warm and normal water dispensers to 9 identified schools in Kerala.
OBJECTIVE OF THE PROGRAMME
To provide 18 units of the Drinking Water purifier to 9 identified schools in Kerala.
IMPACT OF THE PROGRAMME
Schools will be covered under the activity benefitting 4000 children covering 9 schools in Wayanad, Kozhikode, Kannur and Idukki Districts.
